Unorthodocs 2020

A collage of six images from films featured in this series.
A weeklong series showcasing the creative possibilities of nonfiction film in uncertain times

Now in its fourth year, Unorthodocs is a film festival devoted to the possibilities of creative nonfiction filmmaking. This year’s edition reconfigures the festival’s formula to meet the current challenges around gathering in public and takes place entirely online.

Focusing on what is truly essential at this moment, this small lineup will hopefully offer space for each film to have a meaningful impact on viewers. Prerecorded conversations between the filmmakers and special guests will be available for most of the films. No longer bound to a specific screening time in a specific place, we hope this year’s films will be even more accessible to wider central Ohio audiences and, to that end, we’ve also made the screenings available on a pay-what-you-can model.

Organized by the Wexner Center for the Arts and curated by Associate Curator of Film/Video Chris Stults.
